A-WOW IGLI is excited to announce its Annual Spring Bootcamp February 22 - 23. This two-day boot camp will enhance your everyday life skills, your understanding of college preparedness and facilitate an informative, fun and educational experience. You will learn safety and self defense; multiple survival tips for daily use around the house, on the road and while on campus; pre-college planning (things they don’t teach you in school ranging from where to get free stuff, budgeting and when your money gets tight…what to do, how to do laundry etc). Our goal is to educate and help high school girls safeguard and prepare themselves before heading off to college.

The program is designed for young ladies ages 16 - 22 and consists of pre/post-assessments, action labs, mentoring and coaching, group projects and networking. Candidates will spend time learning and developing leadership abilities and interpersonal skills by engaging in various activities such as personal and peer mentoring, career planning, youth advocacy community projects and more! Being a participant in this program will help give students the necessary tools to become catalysts for change.

- Positively Positive - Positive Thinking - learn more about how to end negative “self talk” and negative thoughts about others. 

Mar 3 - Staying Motivated | Beating Procrastination | Preventing burnout.
- Dealing with Difficult Situations - Many young women are dealing with painful situations that they are not equipped to resolve. In this session, young women will learn techniques as well as resources that can help them adjust.

Mar 10 - Cyber Vulnerability - understanding the danger of the internet and how to protect yourself from cyber predators.  Identifying inappropriate cyber behavior
- Bullying - Why Do Girls Fight One Another? Bullying is a crisis in our schools, it is especially high among girls. This session is a discussion to discover why girls fight one another and what can be done to stop this occurrence.

Mar 17 - Career Exploration - Identifying and exploring career options [practical advice from women in different professions]
- Post - Assessment - Conclusion
